Parkside’s New Hospital
Parkside’s new hospital is now open and features 80 single patient rooms, space for family visitation and group therapy, areas for recreation, and all the amenities of modern treatment. Twenty of these rooms are for children’s acute care, a population that is underserved throughout the state.

The second floor tour is Parkside’s children’s unit and the floor is representative of the space serving adolescents and adults as well.

Oklahoma consistently reports one of the nation’s highest rates of mental illness, yet we rank nearly last in terms of the amount of funding available to support psychiatric services. To address this problem, Parkside built a new, state-of-the-art psychiatric hospital to increase the number of patients we can serve each year. The five-story, 114,500-square-foot facility allows us to serve 136 acute and residential patients each day, up from our previous number of 71. This translates to over 4,000 Oklahomans each year who are in need of psychiatric services.
