Volunteer Opportunities

Would you like to be a part of the good work taking place at Parkside as a volunteer? If you have a caring and compassionate attitude a few or several hours a week to share, we would like to visit with you. Parkside volunteers:

Assist with the Food Pantry

  • Volunteers sack groceries for patients and help them complete paperwork. Volunteers should have the ability to lift 10-15 pounds. The Food Pantry is open 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Volunteer hours are flexible.
  • Assist with filing, answering the phone and other office functions.
  • Volunteers should be able to perform basic office duties. Computer experience is helpful but not required.
  • Assist with market research

    • Volunteers compile lists of contacts by calling local agencies and determining the appropriate contact person.
    • Assist reviewing or grading youth school assignments.
    • Volunteers help tutor the youth in their schoolwork. This is a great opportunity for retired teachers (but not required.)
    • If interested, please contact Shellie at 918-588-8807 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
